Description

Once a year, the dry West Coast transforms into a sea of colour, with wildflowers bursting into bloom across open plains and coastal dunes. This seasonal wonder is short-lived, and Zithelo Travels invites you to experience it at its best!

Departing from Cape Town, we journey along the Atlantic coastline toward the West Coast National Park, with a scenic stop at Langebaan Mykonos, a Greek-inspired harbour resort known for its charming marina, cafés, and whitewashed buildings. This is the perfect place to stretch your legs, grab a coffee, and enjoy panoramic views of the Langebaan Lagoon.

Then we head into the Postberg Section of the national park, open only during flower season, where dazzling wildflower displays blanket the landscape. Expect to see Namaqualand daisies, purple vygies, rain daisies, and other Cape floral species. Keep an eye out for wildlife too; the park is home to eland, bontebok, tortoises, and ostriches.

After your flower fix, we make our way to the peaceful fishing village of Paternoster. Here you’ll enjoy free time to stroll along the beach, visit local galleries or craft shops, and have a fresh seafood lunch at your own cost. The return journey to Cape Town winds through inland valleys, offering one last look at the countryside in bloom.

PLEASE NOTE

This tour requires a minimum of two participants in each reservation.
