Terms & Conditions

1. General Terms

1.1 Booking & Payment

  • A 50% deposit is required to secure your booking.

  • The balance is due 30 days before arrival.

  • For services booked within 30 days of the tour date, 100% payment is required upfront.

  • All payments include a nonrefundable 7–10% service fee, which covers administrative and banking charges.​

1.2 Cancellation Policy

  • More than 30 days before the activity starts: 100% refundable (minus 7–10% service/admin fee)

  • 15–30 days before: 80% refundable

  • 5–14 days before: 50% refundable

  • Less than 2 days before: No refund

1.3 Travel Documents

  • Clients are responsible for ensuring they have valid passports, visas, and other entry documents.

  • Zithelo Travels is not responsible for denied entry or incomplete documentation.

2. Tour Operations

2.1 Itinerary Changes

  • Zithelo Travels reserves the right to modify or adjust itineraries due to weather, safety, or operational requirements.

2.2 Activity Participation

  • Participation is voluntary and at your own risk.

  • Guests are expected to follow all safety guidelines and instructions.

2.3 Weather Conditions

  • Tours are subject to weather.

  • Where possible, reasonable alternatives will be arranged, or affected portions will be rescheduled or partially refunded.

3. Booking Changes

3.1 Date Changes / Amendments

  • A postponement or amendment fee of R500 applies per change request.

  • Changes must be made at least 7 days in advance, subject to availability.

4. Liability & Insurance

4.1 Limitation of Liability

  • Zithelo Travels is not liable for loss, injury, damage, delays, or additional expenses caused by third parties, force majeure, or client negligence.

4.2 Travel Insurance

  • Guests are strongly advised to obtain comprehensive travel insurance, covering medical, trip cancellation, and personal liability.

5. Miscellaneous

5.1 Conduct & Behaviour

  • Guests are expected to respect local customs, laws, staff, and fellow travellers.

  • Zithelo Travels reserves the right to refuse service in case of disruptive behaviour.

5.2 Data Protection

  • We treat your personal information with care and comply with data protection regulations.

  • Your information is used only for your booking and experience.

5.3 Governing Law

  • These terms are governed by the laws of South Africa. Any disputes will be handled under local jurisdiction.

6. Specific Activity Terms

6.1 Adventure Activities

  • Adventure or high-risk activities (e.g., ziplining, hiking) may require signing an indemnity form before participation.

6.2 Transportation

  • Transport services are subject to specific vehicle terms.

  • All vehicles are clean, insured, and operated by trained, punctual drivers.

7. Entrance Fees & Peak Season

  • Where possible, entrance fees to major attractions are included in our packages to prevent delays.

  • During peak and high season, many attractions operate at full capacity—booking early is advised.

8. Acceptance

By making a booking with Zithelo Travels, clients confirm that they have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms & Conditions.
